CELL GROUPS
NJCC desires to see every individual involved in a cell/small group. We have established leadership training with the overall goal of preparing our members to lead a cell/small group.

Our cell groups are led by mature and trained NJCC members and meet weekly in homes, on the job, or wherever practical. Our cells provide a place where members can increase their knowledge of the Bible, strengthen their relationship with the Lord, learn to use their giftings, and establish more intimate relationships with members than is possible in our larger services. Each week all of our cell leaders share the same bible lesson and follow a similar format that consist of fellowship, worship, lesson, and prayer. Our cells typical range in size from 4 to 12 individuals and last approximately 90 minutes.

PROVEN Men’s Network
PROVEN encourages and support men in their pursuit of God.  Named from the scripture 1 Kings 2:2-3, which reads, “Be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man. And keep the charge of the Lord your God; to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.” This scripture helps men to realize that it is impossible to reach their full potential apart from God.  The network consists of regularly held network meetings, smaller cell meetings, and weekly mentoring through the “principle of twelve.”

CHOSEN Women’s Network
CHOSEN encourages and supports women in their pursuit of God. Two scriptures helped confirm the name; the first is 1 Peter 2:9, which reads, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” The second is Revelation 17:14, which reads, “For He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are called chosen and faithful.” These scriptures help women to understand they were not just invited or welcomed into God’s family, but literally picked by preference; special and dignified! Realizing we’re chosen also helps us appreciate the light of His grace and that He covers all our darkness! God has chosen us to be set apart from the world while being in the world – different yet appealing.  The network consists of regularly held network meetings, smaller cell meetings, and weekly mentoring through the “principle of twelve.”

ONE Youth Network
ONE is currently geared towards our High School individuals.  In the world they have inherited, it is vital to know the impact of ONE individual sold out to Christ, acting out His love and living in sharp contrast to the expectations of today’s society.  ONE exists to create an environment where young people can bring their friends, hear how important they are to Father God and have opportunities to make a positive impact in their school, community and work. ONE is a place where they can come together to have fun (and eat the ever present food supply) while building friendships that will not only encourage and strengthen but will also last. Eph 4:4-6… “there is one body and one spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling, One Lord, One faith, One baptism, One God and Father of all who is above all and through all and in you all”.  The ONE Network meets monthly typically on Friday evenings.

CHAMPIONS

CHAMPIONS is for our 5th to 8th grade individuals and meets during our normal Sunday services and at other scheduled events.  8th graders also start attending the ONE Youth Network meetings.  CHAMPIONS focus on teaching and strengthening each persons relationship with the Lord and with each other.  CHAMPIONS also begin to help serve in the children’s ministry.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Infants and toddlers are lovingly cared for in the nursery and toddler room from the start of our service until its end. Older children (pre-K to 4th grade) join their families for the first portion of our service for Praise & Worship, and Communion. Afterwards, they are released to their Super Church classrooms. Our Super Church format is designed to bring children to the loving relationship with Jesus and an active faith lifestyle that is open to the Holy Spirit and founded on the Word of God. Vacation Bible School (VBS) serves as an annual outreach to the community.

THE JOURNEY TO FREEDOM

All of our members are encourage to take “The Journey!”The Journey consists of three parts called: pre-encounter, the encounter weekend, and post encounter.

Pre-encounter includes 4 lessons that prepare an individual to go on an encounter weekend. In these lessons, individuals come to a fuller understanding of salvation and what it means to be saved or born again.

An encounter weekend, is essentially a three day retreat to encounter the Lord. During this weekend, each participate is taught in more detail the meaning of the cross and all that Jesus did for us by giving His life. Every participate receives private prayer to address anything from their past that might hold them back from embracing their new life going forward in the Lord.

After the weekend, participants complete 7 post-encounter lessons that teach the fundamentals of the faith, including bible reading, prayer, walking with the Holy Spirit, and serving. From start to finish this is typically a three month journey that firmly roots each person in their walk with the Lord.

DISCOVERY 1, 2, AND 3

DISCOVERY is our leadership training for those who have completed “The Journey,” and are actively participating in a cell/small group. It consists of three semesters, with each taking approximately 3 months. Each course is divided into two areas of study of 10 lessons each.

In Discovery 1 – Finding the Rock, students focus on developing a firm foundation for life and family. The two areas of study are “Building Your Foundation” and “Strengthening Your Family.”

In Discovery 2 – Staying the Course, students are launched into a lifestyle of vision and conquest. The two areas of focus are “Charting Your Vision” and “Conquering Your Land.”

In Discovery 3 – Reaching the Summit, students develop solid principles in leadership for a lifetime of fruitfulness. The two areas of focus are “Forging Your Team” and “Cultivating Your Gifts.”

 MISSIONS

We support trustworthy missionaries and missionary organizations that provide opportunities for individuals to participate on both short and long term mission trips both domestically and abroad.  We also support and participate with local ministries to care for the needs of our local communities.

INTERCESSION

We gather together specifically to seek the Lord on areas He directs us to pray about. During those regularly scheduled meetings we allow the Holy Spirit to direct us in repentance, spiritual warfare and petition, renewal and blessings. As a result of these times 0f intercession we have seen the Lord’s mighty hand move in answered prayers and interventions.

HEALING PRAYER

Jesus said He came to “heal the broken-hearted and set the captives free.” During our encounter weekends, weekly and monthly services, and small groups, we actively pray for those suffering physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Individual times of prayer can also be scheduled with mature and trained members of our healing team.

COUNSELING AND BENEVOLENCE

Both pastors and members within our church are available to provide Biblical counseling for a variety of life issues. In addition, we regularly provide assistance to those in need both within and outside our congregation while participating with other area ministries to feed the hungry and homeless.
